Why Is Water Bad for Rose Quartz?

There are two kind of water that you might consider "bad" for your Rose Quartz.

Really acidic water can harm Rose stones because the acid in the water dissolves a small amount of crystal.

If the water you're soaking a stone in has lots of limestone (the stuff that cakes your showerhead) then this can be harmful to your quartz.

Not that harmful though, since all the crust can be cleaned off pretty easily with a cloth.

Salt water ≠ acid water! Yes, ocean water is VERY SALTY... and yes it tastes bad. But your crystal won't mind!

In fact, one of the best way to cleanse a Rose Quartz is to give it a salt bath!
